Do I need an account to read?

No. There is no paywall, no registration and no login. Every article is free to read, and reading one requires nothing of you.

How do I follow the site?

We publish a full RSS feed that works in any feed reader. Paste /rss.xml on our domain into your reader of choice. There is no tracking in the feed.

How do I find an older story?

Use search, which looks through headlines, standfirsts and article text. You can also browse any section from the navigation, which is paginated back through the archive.

Can I read in dark mode?

Yes. The site follows your device's light or dark setting automatically, and the ◐ button in the header overrides it. That choice is remembered in your own browser and is never sent to us.

I think you got something wrong

Please tell us: corrections@wenanews.com, with the article URL and what is wrong. We correct errors in public and date them — see the corrections policy. We would rather be told.

Can you remove an article about me?

We do not remove accurate published journalism on request. That is the whole point of keeping a public record.

We do act where a story is materially wrong, where it is unfair to you and you have not been given a chance to respond, or where there is a legal obligation. Write to grievance@wenanews.com explaining the specific problem and we will look at it properly.

Why does every article list sources?

Because you should be able to check us. Every story shows the independent sources it drew on, with links. If a story cannot clear two independent sources, our publishing system will not let it go live.

Why are there advertisements?

Advertising is what keeps the site free and independent, with no paywall and no owner telling us what to write. Advertisers have no say over our journalism. See the privacy policy for what advertising means for your data.

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In practice that means the site works with a keyboard, respects your "reduce motion" setting, uses real headings and landmarks, gives every image alt text, and keeps text contrast readable in both light and dark themes.

Which browsers are supported?

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop, Android and iOS. The site is built to work on a small phone screen as well as a large monitor. If a page looks broken for you, tell us which browser and device and we will fix it.

Can I republish your article?

Not in full. You are welcome to quote a short extract with clear attribution and a link back. For anything more, ask: legal@wenanews.com. The details are in the terms and conditions.
