Corrections policy
We correct errors in public, and we date them.
Last updated 10 September 2026
When a published article contains a factual error we append a dated correction to the foot of the story rather than quietly editing it. The record of what changed stays visible. This is deliberate: a newsroom that edits its mistakes away is asking you to trust something you cannot check.
Telling us about an error
Email corrections@wenanews.com with the article URL and what you believe is wrong. Include a source if you have one. We aim to respond within two working days.
How we handle it
- Factual error — corrected in the text, with a dated correction note appended explaining what changed.
- Typo or broken link — fixed without a note.
- Significant error — corrected, noted, and where the story was widely read, flagged at the top of the article.
- Disputed characterisation — we offer a right of reply and publish it alongside the original.
Unpublishing
We do not remove accurate published journalism on request. Where a story is materially wrong and cannot be fixed by correction, we unpublish it and say that we have.
